Competition Information

  • This competition will be held OUTDOORS.
  • Athletes will compete in skill levels: 4+ and 3.5 and lower
  • Check-in begins and courts open for warm up one hour before match play begins.
  • See the schedule above for tournament start times. NOTE: prepare to be flexible, no-shows, last minute cancellations and other factors can impact tournament play
  • The tournament brackets are attached as a separate document.
  • All players shall  check-in no later than 15 minutes before the start of the first round of play.
  •  All Groups have been randomly selected and entered into a Round Robin play.  Some age groups will be combined to create competitive play.
  • Pool play consists of a group playing a series of games based on the size of the group.  Each game will be the first team to 15.
  • After pool play each age group will be seeded in a bracket.  Bracket game will be the first to 15.  Medal games will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2 points.
  • All play is subject to USAPA rules.
  • Players should be prepared by bringing sufficient water, snacks and sunscreen to accommodate themselves.


  • The medal ceremony will take place after the completion of each age group.
  • Athletes must be present to receive medals. They will not be mailed.
  • Qualifying for National Senior Games

Qualifying for Nationals

  • All first, second, third and fourth place winners in each skill level/ age group at a 2022 NSGA qualifying games will qualify for the 2023 National Senior Games.
  • Athletes must qualify in each Pickleball event (doubles and mixed doubles) in which they wish to compete at the 2023 National Senior Games except where Rule E applies.

OSO Athlete Information

  • All details and events are subject to change based on registration numbers, weather conditions, venue availability, and other reasons. 
  • Withdrawals and no shows will negatively impact brackets and heats.  
  • Absolutely no day-of registration is permissible.

  • Athletes should know and understand the rules specific to their sport. The OSO uses the rules book created by the National Senior Games Association for those sports that are offered at the National Senior Games. Rules for those events not offered at the National Senior Games are those of the official organizing body.
